Our Story

Twenty-seven years at the same counter

For 27 years I made every piece in this store with these two hands, and I prayed over every one before it left my counter. They have been worn to Sunday service, to graduations, to funerals — and through the quiet nights when faith is all we have got.

Why we started

At Blessed Assurance, faith has never been something we keep quiet. It is the shout in the choir, the hat on Sunday morning, the cross your grandmother never took off. That is what this store was built for: what we believe deserves to be seen.

Every piece came out of a little workshop behind the store. No factory, no machine doing the work for me. A bench, a lamp, and time.

The families we made it for

This store has always belonged to the families of our community here in West End, Atlanta. Folks came in for a baptism gift, for a graduation, for a mother who needed something to hold on to. I knew their names. Most of them I still do.

Why we are closing

Serving the families of this community has been the great blessing of my life. Now the Lord is calling me back to my congregation full time, so everything that is left goes to you. Free. You only cover the shipping at checkout.

I would rather these pieces be worn than sit in a box behind a locked door.

Who packs your order

Nothing has changed about how an order leaves this store. Mrs. Johnson packs every one by hand, the same as she always has. If you have a question, you will hear back from our family within 24 hours.

Thank you for letting us be a small part of your walk.
